Façade gutter

Façade gutters are linear drainage systems and can be distinguished primarily into box gutters and slot gutters.

The base of the façade, especially in the area of threshold-free doors and floor-to-ceiling glazing, is a structurally highly sensitive area. Here, it must be ensured that no water penetrates the building or runs behind the waterproofing and must therefore be considered in the planning.

On

the one hand, façade gutters collect water flowing down the façade and drain it away safely, and on the other hand, they prevent water on the terrain or roof surface from being pushed up at the base due to wind pressure. In addition, condensation can occur during the formation of snowdrifts, ice and slush, especially in the door area, as condensation is created more quickly due to the increased heat transfer, which cannot drain away through the remaining snow.

Façade gutters ensure that the "water stress" in the base area is minimised.
