Cement-bonded chipboard

Cement-bonded chipboard is wood-based panels made with mineral binders (e.g. Portland cement) made from wood chips or other plant materials such as flax or hemp.

Depending on the density, they can be used for sound and thermal insulation. They are also used as non-load-bearing interior walls or as stiffening planking.

Cement-bonded chipboard is largely resistant to weathering and frost as well as insect and fungal infestation.
