Box girder ceiling

A box girder ceiling is based on the structure of a traditional wooden beam ceiling. It consists of prefabricated wooden elements.

Edge beams and ribs form a frame that forms a statically effective connection with planking on both sides. This element is called a box.

The planking is carried out using wood-based materials such as OSB, FSH or three-layer boards. The cavity is suitable for the insertion of insulating materials.

The design of the box girder elements allows large spans to be realised in the form of continuous or single-span girders.
