Lightweight plaster

Lightweight plaster, abbreviation according to DIN EN 998-1: "LW". Lightweight plaster mortar with reduced dry bulk density (≤ 1,300 kg/m³), making it also suitable for substrates with a lower bulk density, e.g. heat-insulating masonry. In the "Guidelines for the Plastering of Masonry and Concrete" a further distinction is made between lightweight plaster I (dry bulk density ≤ 1,300 kg/m³) and lightweight plaster II (with fibre addition, dry bulk density ≤ 1,000 kg/m³). This differentiation was necessitated by ever better insulating wall building materials with correspondingly reduced bulk densities.

The average plaster thickness of the exterior plaster system consisting of base and top plaster is a total of 20 mm, which may be undercut by up to 5 mm in individual places.
