Bitumen thick coating

Bitumen thick coatings are layers of polymer-modified bitumen (PMB) such as polymer bitumen and elastomer bitumen applied in several layers of construction. These consist of foils or bitumen sheets.

More about bitumen thick coating

In the case of thick coatings, the requirements according to DIN 18195 are achieved by requirement-related (load case) layer thicknesses.

Polymer bitumen (PmB) combines bitumen and polymer plastics. They are then less brittle and more resistant to deformation.

Elastomer bitumen, on the other hand, is combined with elastomeric plastics. This can absorb cracks in the subsoil that occur later.

Before

waterproofing, planning must be carried out taking into account the effect of water and clarifying the details.

Bitumen thick coatings are crack-bridging, pressure-tight and fillable without seams and joints. It is also suitable for slightly damp surfaces.
