Sol silicate paint is a relatively newly developed product that can be used both in the façade area and in interiors. The binder consists of a combination of water glass and silica sol. The organic content is less than 5%. The advantages of sol silicate paints lie in the particularly brilliant shades, in the simple processing (one-component) and in the universal applicability on a large number of mineral and non-mineral substrates (not on wood). As with pure silicate paints, chemical silication also creates a particularly strong and permanent bond with a mineral substrate with sol silicate paints.
