Industrially prefabricated standing seam systems consist of profiled metal plates and associated holding systems, such as clips, holders and retaining rails. The prefabricated systems can usually be assembled on the construction site without further folding by simply "plugging them together". The profile panels are available in a wide variety of profile sizes and widths and all shapes such as straight or conical, convex or concave rounded are also possible. The manufacturers offer systems with and without rear ventilation and installation is possible on all substructures as well as directly on the roof insulation. This flexibility makes prefabricated standing seam systems universally applicable and widely used, especially in industrial construction. Manufacturers usually also offer matching façade systems to the roof systems.
