Rooflight domes consist of dome-shaped two- to four-shell plastic glazing and a frame made of plastic or aluminium. Installation is carried out on modular uprisings that are integrated into the flat roof waterproofing. The classic rooflight dome is rectangular and has an outer opaque-coloured plastic shell, but there are also round and pyramid-shaped skylights as well as special glazing with improved insulation value, increased sun or sound protection. Rooflights are standard products and are always part of a modular system. They are available rigid or ventilated in the nominal sizes 60 x 60 cm – 200 x 200 cm or 50 x 100 cm – 200 x 300 cm.
