Double standing seam roofing is one of the most common metal roofing. The double standing seam roof consists of shares (metal sheets) with lateral upstands, which are double-interlocked with the adjacent upstand. This results in a fine-lined rebate height of 23 - 25 mm (at least 23 mm gem. VOB C DIN 18339). This design is permissible with appropriate sealants from a roof pitch of at least 3°. The substructure is usually a rear-ventilated wooden formwork with a separating layer. This type of covering is used in both traditional and modern architecture.
