The Brise Soleil is an external, immovable, sun protection. Literally translated, it means something like "sunbreaker", but the French term is common.
The purpose is to optimally shade the room when the sun is high without impairing the view out of the window.
Originally, cantilevered concrete slices were used for this purpose, which strongly characterize the façade appearance.
Today, moreover, presented constructions are used in a variety of materials.
