Wall connection profiles are used to attach roof waterproofing to rising components. The profiles are usually made of aluminium or galvanised sheet steel.
The waterproofing membranes are guided up the rising components and fastened below the profiles.
In the case of bitumen membranes, an insulating wedge must be inserted between the roof and the rising component. This avoids a right-angled guide of the track.
According to flat roof guidelines, the connection height should
be at least 15 cm above the surface of the roof covering (e.g. gravel or slabs)above the surface of the roof covering for roof pitches of up to 5°. This height must be increased if necessary (e.g. in very snowy areas)
If the connection height is more than 35 cm, if it is more than 50 cm, an additional mechanical fastening must be made. This prevents the geomembrane from slipping or detaching.
