The values in the table on page 400 | Construction site screeds are the minimum nominal screed thicknesses in accordance with DIN 18560-2 Table 1 for unheated floating screeds, with perpendicular payloads ≤ 2 kN/m². The nominal screed thickness can be reduced by 5 mm, except for mastic asphalt screeds, if the thickness of the insulation layer does not exceed 40 mm and a minimum thickness of 30 mm is observed. The maximum compressibility of the insulation layer may be 5 mm, and 3 mm for mastic asphalt.
For higher payloads, different nominal thicknesses and requirements according to DIN 18560-2, Tables 2-4 apply. The minimum nominal thicknesses for screeds on separation layer can be found in DIN 18560-4, Table 1, for heavy-duty screeds (industrial screeds) the specifications according to DIN 18560-7 apply.
