Polymer paints, also known as polymer resin paints, form very thin matt layers of paint due to very small particle sizes and organic solvents and penetrate very deep into the substrate. They can also be applied to hot-dip galvanized or primed steel surfaces. Polymer paints do not contain water, cannot be diluted with water, and can therefore be processed even at sub-zero temperatures if the substrate is ice-free. However, due to the solvents released during processing, they are only used to a limited extent, especially on/in industrial buildings.
