Truss

A truss girder consists of an upper and a lower chord, which are connected to each other by diagonal and vertical rods. The individual rods can be connected by nail plates (for so-called nail plate trusses) or daggerboard plates and rod dowels. Truss girders have a low weight in relation to their load-bearing capacity and are mainly used where very large spans have to be bridged.
