High Pressure Laminate Board (HPL Board)

High-pressure laminate boards, or HPL boards for short (abbreviation for High Pressure Laminate), are high-pressure laminate boards according to EN 438 with a melamine resin top layer. The boards consist of approx. 60% thin layers of paper, which are impregnated with melamine and phenolic resins and pressed under high pressure and high temperature to form an extremely stable board. The top top layer can be printed as desired, which makes the board extremely versatile in terms of design. Similar to the resin composite panels, the panels are extremely resistant to impacts, heat, UV rays, scratches, organic solvents, water and acid, but also to graffiti.

  1. core layers made of kraft paper, resin-impregnated
  2. decorative paper
  3. Transpartent overlay

HPL boards are produced in thicknesses of 0.5 mm – 40 mm, there are products for both weathered outdoor areas (especially for facades, balcony balustrades) and for indoor use (especially for interior doors). and furniture construction). They are used in thin layers as a veneer glued over the entire surface (e.g. as an interior door leaf surface), or as a linear or punctual panel (e.g. as a façade panel with a panel thickness of 6 mm or more or as a WC partition wall with a panel thickness of 13 mm or more).
