Waterproofing from bitumen/polymer bitumen membranes

According to DIN 18533-2 Section 7.1.1, a variety of materials are possible for the waterproofing of components in contact with the ground with bitumen/polymer bitumen membranes, e.g. bare bitumen membranes (abbreviation N), bitumen/polymer bitumen roofing membranes (abbreviation DD), bitumen welding membranes (abbreviation S), also with copper tape insert, cold self-adhesive bitumen waterproofing membranes (abbreviation KSK) and others.

There are designs with bitumen/polymer bitumen membranes in accordance with DIN 18533 for all water action classes, including W2.2-E (pressurized water with an immersion depth > 3m). The specific waterproofing design is based on DIN 18533-2 Section 8.2. Depending on the material of the bitumen/polymer bitumen membranes and the water exposure class, structures of up to 5 layers may be required.
