Lime-cement plaster is a purely mineral plaster with lime and cement as binders and sand with various grain sizes (usually 2 or 3 mm) as an aggregate. It is very permeable to diffusion and therefore offers good protection against fungal and mould infestation. In outdoor areas, lime-cement plaster is used both as a base plaster and as a structured or rubbed top plaster. Indoors, lime-cement plasters often serve as the first layer (concealer) for a decorative top plaster made of other material due to their good application on almost all mineral substrates.
