Condensing the complex conditions of architecture into a simple, plausible form is a major concern of our work. Contextual, functional, economic and technical conditions play just as important a role as formal aspects that develop from the logic of a building.
Dealing with the topography of the respective site, the interpretation and integration of existing structural conditions as well as the contemporary use of regional materials form the fund from which the respective concepts are developed. The focus is on concentrating on the essentials and is pursued down to the last detail with the careful, conceptual use of form, material and colour.
With this approach, our office is dedicated to a wide range of different construction tasks, ranging from new buildings that are integrated into sensitive urban and landscape spaces to conversions and reinterpretations of listed buildings. The focus of our activities is on the planning and execution of cultural buildings, research and teaching buildings and office and administration buildings.
