Office structure
Atelier 30 Architekten was founded in 2000 by Ole Creutzig and Thomas Fischer in Kassel and has grown steadily since then. In 2015, Marco Schüler became office manager and authorized signatory. In the meantime, almost 40 employees work in our office. Despite all the necessary structures, which are also accompanied by decision-making powers, it is always important to us to live hierarchies that are as flat as possible and to bring the different tasks forward in a team-oriented manner in a joint cooperation. Decision-making processes are usually designed in such a transparent way that our team, our clients and all those involved are optimally involved in order to achieve the best possible result for a construction task. This also includes a certain courage for a culture of reflection, which allows us to question ourselves from time to time. An important building block is that the cooperation is characterized by mutual appreciation.
Fields of work
Buildings shape cultural landscapes and are forms of expression of a society. Architecture presents itself differently and changes at different times. Our architecture is therefore not subject to any special typology. There are various circumstances that make a work special and exciting. Innovative architecture is therefore multi-layered and sustainable. Our buildings are largely the result of architectural competitions won. Our work serves to solve different tasks and to implement them spatially. In addition to functional and economical project implementation, an important feature of our architecture is the quality of the building. This is evidenced by numerous awards and publications of our works. Over time, we have certainly developed a certain focus in our architecture. Most of them are institutes, university and educational buildings. In general, we have planned and built a wide range of houses in all service phases of the HOAI. These include existing buildings, churches, museums, residential buildings as well as commercial and administrative buildings. We see the various construction tasks in the course of the office's more than 20-year history as an opportunity to be able to develop something new again and again, which we can look back on with a certain satisfaction.
