The founding of the office in 1931 goes back to the collaboration of the architects Herbert Sprotte and Peter Neve, who – interrupted by the 2nd World War – successfully established themselves in Hamburg. Between 1970 and 1974, the first generational change took place with the architects Alf M. Prasch, Wolfgang Nietz and Peter Sigl. In the 1980s, in addition to regional projects, the first international buildings in the Middle East expanded the sphere of influence. After opening additional locations in Berlin and Dresden in 1993, the partnership was expanded in 1995 by the architects Sergei Tchoban and Ekkehard Voss – since 2015, they have been leading the entire company as an architect duo. Since 2009, the office structure has been expanded by associates and project partners as senior employees. Since 2017, the office has been operating under the name Tchoban Voss Architekten.
