After studying at the Winterthur University of Applied Sciences and ETH Zurich, Michael Meier and Marius Hug founded their architectural practice in Zurich in 2001. Their buildings cover a wide range of different construction tasks and constructive solutions. These include the lido in Rapperswil-Jona, the school and Säntishalle in Arbon or the New Natural History Museum in St.Gallen. Together with fifty employees, they are currently planning two residential towers in Arbon, the headquarters of the financial services provider Avaloq with the Manegg West housing estate in Zurich, the Zurichsee-Gut residential and commercial building in Stäfa, the civil airfield in Dübendorf and the conversion of the Stoffel textile factory in Mels into apartments. The office has received several awards for its work, including the lido in Rapperswil-Jona, the retirement apartments in Wil and the residential building in Zurich-Albisrieden. The offices of Michael Meier and Marius Hug are located in the former production facility of Hans Kaspar AG, in the Binz industrial district in Zurich.
