The work of Dekleva Gregorič's architects first gained international attention with the XXS House (2004) in Ljubljana and was awarded the Luigi Cosenza European Architecture Prize in 2004 and the WALLPAPER Prize, Best Pioneering Designers, in 2005.

The metal recycling plant ODPAD was nominated and shortlisted for the Mies van der Rohe Prize in 2009, then awarded at the International Architecture Awards in 2009 and won the Plečnik Medal Prize in Slovenia, among others.

Four other projects have been nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Prize, the most important European architecture prize: Housing Perovo (2013), Compact Karst House (2015) and two collective projects: KSEVT - Cultural Centre for EU Space Technologies (2013) and the renovation of Slovenska Street (2017). Since 2012, Maui's Clifftop House has received intense international attention and several awards, including the AIT Award, the 2012 International Architecture Awards, and an honorable mention at the 2016 American Architecture Prize. In 2015, they explored the possibilities of redefining regional tradition and condensed family life at the Compact Karst House, which won the WAN House of the Year 2015 Award, Best Architects 16 Award and the prestigious AR House Award 2015 from Architectural Review, UK.
