Herzog & de Meuron is a partnership led by Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron with senior partners Christine Binswanger, Ascan Mergenthaler, Stefan Marbach and Esther Zumsteg.

Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron founded their office in Basel in 1978. An international team of five partners, about 40 employees and 400 employees, works on projects throughout Europe, America and Asia.

Herzog & de Meuron have designed a wide variety of projects, from small private homes to large urban developments. While many projects are highly regarded public facilities such as stadiums and museums, they have also realized several significant private projects such as residential buildings, offices, and factories. Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron have been awarded numerous prizes, including the Pritzker Architecture Prize (USA) in 2001, the RIBA Royal Gold Medal (UK) and the Praemium Imperiale (Japan), both in 2007, and in 2014 Herzog & de Meuron received the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize (MCHAP) for 1111 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach. Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron were awarded the title of doctor honoris causa by the Technical University of Munich in 2018.
