Knoche Architecture

Knoche Architektur is an established architectural firm based in Leipzig. It was founded in 1989 by Christian Knoche in Stuttgart. The office first gained national attention when it won the architectural competition for the main branch of the Volksbank Göppingen. The project was initially implemented in cooperation with Mahler-Gumpp-Schuster Architekten, and since 1991 the project has been independently supervised.

Over the years, Knoche Architektur has specialised in the planning and implementation of public buildings – often based on competition successes. Since 1999, the office has been run as a GbR together with Gaby Kannegiesser. The focus continues to be on projects of public contracting authorities, whereby procurement procedures (VOF) are increasingly being used in addition to classic competitions. With the move to Leipzig in the summer of 2006, the regional orientation was strengthened. At the beginning of 2021, the company was re-founded as a partnership company. Today, the office is run by Christian Knoche, Gaby Kannegiesser, Christoph Jopp and Jan Hauschildt as equal partners. Range
